Three Strategies for Meetings and Events During the Coronavirus Pandemic

It's a strange time.

Many companies are obviously dealing with decisions about future events like meetings, trips, conferences, and more. I’d like to share with you THREE main ways that we can save you time and money. If you’re interested in any of them, or even if you just need some free advice, let's talk

If you have an upcoming event, consider making it virtual. We can advise on strategy and handle all implementation on your behalf so that you can focus on content, attendees, marketing, etc. Just the first step of selecting the right platform can be time-consuming... planning the event itself is a full-time job.

We can take the following off your hands:

  • Finding the best virtual event technology for your particular needs

  • Negotiating the platform service contract

  • Managing the technology before and during your event

  • Creating breakouts, multiple tracks, keynote speakers, attendee links, etc.

  • Providing communication and training to your staff

  • Managing event scheduling, invites, recording, surveys, and more

  • Providing live tech support and real-time event oversight

  • Managing speakers (getting them online, training them, providing lights and microphones if needed for keynote speakers, test calls to ensure quality, etc.)

  • Working with sponsors (creative ads, product placement, etc)

If you’re even considering a virtual event of any size, please reach out so we can chat. kevin@kevinderntravel.com

Negotiating Cancellations.png

You DON'T want to cancel a contract without a negotiation strategy. My team and I have negotiated thousands of contracts and lots of cancellations over almost 20 years and would be happy to help out in any way we can. We're pros at legalese, cancellation terms, negotiating attrition, analyzing force majeure clauses, and general strategy for how to cancel or reschedule and event without being taken advantage of.

It's not at all simple - there's almost always room for negotiation. Contracts may seem cut and dry but there are often different ways to look at any contract clause. Your relationship and history with the supplier matters, as does the chance that you'll do business with them again in the future.

If you have an upcoming event and would like a professional opinion on your contract terms, email me to schedule a time to talk. This is a tough time for everyone and it would be our pleasure to help if we can.

Future events.png

This is actually an amazing time to plan events and trips for the future - hotels are hungry for the business and would be thrilled new bookings. It's a buyer's market. Have you booked your properties for 2021 and 2022? Let us help negotiate an amazing deal for your future events. We provide both fully managed programs and site selection services.

The effects of Coronavirus are presenting challenges for all of us. Wishing you all the best with whatever you might be dealing with, either personally or professionally. Email me at kevin@kevinderntravel.com if I can help in any way.
